H2E Information Exchange Listserv Guidelines

In order to subscribe to the H2E Listserv, users must agree to the following guidelines:

• VENDOR NOTE: Do NOT sell any products or contractor services on this mailing list. While we appreciate the expertise that many vendors have to offer, H2E requests that companies and individuals refrain from advertising or soliciting on the H2E Listserv. If you can offer expertise, guidance or information on given subjects, please do so, but do not offer this advice as an attempt to sell your own product or service. Any attempt to solicit customers may result in removal from the H2E Listserv. As a service to our members, H2E does have a Products and Services Directory in which vendors can directly list their offerings.


• Be civil, even if you disagree with another's opinion—express your opinion in concrete terms and choose your words carefully.


• When possible, be brief and concise. If posting a long message, put "Long" in the subject line of your message. An alternative is to send a brief message stating that you have a long document available, and ask those who want it to contact you. Some people may prefer a regular mail or fax copy, if those options are available. Do not send attachments.


• Do not forward any message posted to the List without obtaining prior consent of the message author. Remove their signature information if they request it. (If you have questions on how to do that, contact


• If you are new to the Listserv, you might want to briefly introduce yourself: name, affiliation, and any information about your job that you would like to share with subscribers.


• Assume that anyone with Internet access can read your messages despite our efforts to provide a secure forum for discussion. Political commentary, jokes, and unrelated topics are not appropriate for this Listserv.
