Guidelines
To be eligible for inclusion in the H2E Products and Services Directory, companies must affirm that their products, services and operations support H2E’s mission to positively transform health care’s environmental performance and are consistent with H2E’s Green Guidelines.
Listed Companies:

Confirm support for H2E’s mission of environmental improvement, and for the goals of virtually eliminating mercury from health care facilities, reducing
the total waste generated in the health care sector and minimizing the use
and release of hazardous chemicals and persistent, bioaccumulative and
toxic pollutants (PBTs).
- Are not primarily involved in the manufacture of materials that consist of
persistent bioaccumulative toxins or release PBTs in their manufacturing,
use or disposal.
- Have not been cited for any environmental, worker health and safety
compliance violations in the past year and are not currently under
environmental regulatory investigation.
- Do not participate in lobbying or advocacy activities that oppose the mission and goals of H2E.
Enforcement of the Guidelines
- H2E reserves the right, upon becoming aware of divergence from these Guidelines, to remove listed companies from the Directory. H2E’s general course of action for addressing noncompliance/conflict with the Guidelines:
- If H2E discovers evidence that a company may not meet the intent of the Guidelines, they will be contacted in writing or by telephone
- A reasonable amount of time will be given to explain or correct a practice that is not consistent with the Guidelines. The timeframe will be dependent upon the magnitude of the issue.
- After notification, H2E will work to verify that the issue(s) have been satisfactorily addressed. Failure to make appropriate changes may result in the removal of the company or individual from the H2E Directory.
- H2E’s decision is final.
